About Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

PTSD is part of the anxiety group of mental disorders resulting from a traumatic event, or events, which can leave a teen debilitated. It is the frequent reliving of such memories and their accompanying fear which can severely impair the patient, adversely affecting their daily life. Nightmares can be triggered by dreams of the event and sleep patterns interrupted. Often, a sudden, loud noise can precipitate a flashback. Fear of recurrence causes the teen with PTSD to avoid any situation which they think might trigger an attack.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

ENE Media Productions was created and launched in May 2016 by then, 14-year-old, Erriel Lorre' McCalla. Her inspiration to create her own media production company sparked after asking her father for a new $1500 Apple computer, in which he denied. Her father explained to her that at her age, he had to come up with ideas to raise money when his parents didn’t agree on things he wanted to purchase. She knew then she must come up with a creative business concept that her father would approve of since he promised to help her launch whatever is agreeable. Knowing her and her father share a passion for entertainment, Erriel proposed a media production company. The request was granted, and he gave her the capital to launch her business, E-N-E Media Productions, (Erriel - Niam - Elyse Media Productions), which includes her two younger sisters. It's a perfect family affair as her mother and father are writers, and her sisters are aspiring actresses.

Erriel also opted to start a production company to have the ability to create her own opportunities as an actress, as well as to extend some of the same opportunities to others. She did not only play a Producer role in her first production but was cast to play the main character. She also constructed a unique way to include her siblings, and utilize the talents of the people around her.

Her debut project, "Sydney's Revenge", explores the mind of a young girl who suffers from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Erriel became intrigued with the idea as she ran across the topic while surfing the net. She saw it fitting to explore the mind of someone who is suffering from the disorder and how they can always feel isolated, attacked or paranoid due to the trauma they have dealt with. Her twist was to add an ire horror plot that would capture the viewers as they watch, sending them into the mind of her character.
